Problem Problem

A pool of resources was engaged in this project for each subject, however, considering the client’s requirement, such that there remains a proper balance between the different levels of difficulty. This rose as a problem initially as there was no predefined strategy shared by the client on the number of items each topic has to have and the ratio of easy, medium, and difficult items. This was creating a problem for the client as well as they were at times getting more easy questions and at times mostly difficult ones.

Challenge Action

To eliminate this issue at the earliest, our team of experts from each subject settled down on designing a detailed strategy sheet for each subject defining sections, chapter names, learning outcome type, learning outcome, question type, difficulty level, and Bloom’s taxonomy. This drill-down process helped us allocate work to each expert under a defined process ensuring each topic is judiciously covered at all difficulty levels.

Solution Benefit

We have been able to develop a solution that has helped build a set of standard procedures to help save time across learning management systems. We designed a detailed strategy sheet for every single subject, thus making the overall testing procedure streamlined and well-aligned with the quality testing strategy that we developed for the Client. With these checklist and other relevant knowledge base articles, we are now ensuring a timely turnaround time on quality testing to our Client despite the monthly work volume.

Acadecraft primarily engaged itself with the client to provide Assessment services (including metadata) for an engineering entrance assessment conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. Acadecraft’s core responsibility is to ensure creating items pertaining to the complete syllabus for the exam category across four subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Math, and Biology. Acadecraft had to deliver 10,000 items in a period of 10 months, with approximately 2,000 items in each month. The Acadecraft assessment team was onboarded by the client to create assessment based items in the following forms: Practice questions, Daily practice papers, Theory help for learning objectives, and mock tests. Each item has to be created based on a primary learning outcome and a secondary learning outcome. Difficulty levels have to be met and Bloom’s Taxonomy tagged accordingly.
