They work with several top universities across the world to create and publish high-quality academic, professional and educational content. They offer both printed and digital learning materials in 40 languages that serve scholars, teachers and researchers. Their main aim is to provide access to the learning material to the learners worldwide in the way that best suits them. They develop digital learning solutions for various subjects and levels, and publish over 400 books every year.

Problem Problem

The major challenge faced by Acadecraft was the bulk copyediting requirement of the Client to be completed in a short span of time with limited copyeditors. As the academic content provided by the Client dealt in higher education, it was necessary for the copyeditors to do a thorough double check of the content before finalizing it.

In case of organizational and structural problems in some of the learning materials, our experts are supposed to raise a query to be addressed and modified by the content creators in the Client’s team which is also a time-consuming process. Thus, providing high-quality and error-free content in such a short period was challenging for Acadecraft given the bulk requirement and limited editors.

Challenge Action

We checked the requirement of the number of copyeditors needed to meet the bulk copyediting requirement in a limited period of time. We contacted experienced copyeditors from all around the world to help us in achieving the target. We conducted a quick test to shortlist the required copyeditors in order to check their knowledge and skills. After finalising the experts, training was provided in order to make them familiar with the guidelines and requirements of the Client. The bulk allocation was then divided in several small batches to complete the work on time.

We check the content thoroughly to ensure good language by recognizing and fixing the inconsistencies and grammatical errors to improve the overall clarity, and make it more readable and understandable for the target audience.
